A Google Drive link allegedly containing 17 tracks that are purportedly from Swift’s eagerly awaited “The Tortured Poets Department” album has been making the rounds on the internet in the past day and people are equal parts mad, sad and happy about it. CNN has reached out to Swift’s representative for comment. The actual album is slated to drop at midnight Friday, but the claimed leak is both being hailed and nailed by Swift’s supporters. “The Tortured Poets Department” is Swift’s 11th album and comes after she became the first woman and only solo artist to win the Grammy for album of the year three times.

The streaming giant confirmed to CNN on Thursday that the couple’s Archewell Productions has two new nonfiction series in production at Netflix as part of a multi-year overall deal signed in 2020. The first series will be curated by Meghan and “will celebrate the joys of cooking & gardening, entertaining, and friendship” according to Netflix. Netflix has already worked with the couple on three other nonfiction series, including “Harry & Meghan” which peeled back the curtain on their relationship with the royal family and their move to the US after they stepped down from their royal duties. The company also produced for the streaming giant “Live To Lead,” an interview series featuring world leaders, and the “Heart of Invictus,” a documentary series about the event and organization whose founding patron is Prince Harry.

CNN —Toby Keith will receive a posthumous honor. The late country music star, who died in February at age 62 from complications of stomach cancer, will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. “Election to the Country Music Hall of Fame is country music’s highest honor, and new members are elected annually by an anonymous panel of industry leaders chosen by the Country Music Association (CMA),” according to a press release about the announcement. The legendary country singer went public with his stomach cancer diagnosis in 2022, which he had been dealing with since October 2021. CNN —The Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) is leveraging the attention on Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-nominated film “Oppenheimer” in an attempt to elevate the conversation about nuclear threat. In the run-up to Sunday night’s Academy Awards, the organization is launching a “Make Nukes History” campaign Wednesday in Los Angeles. “We want to raise our voices to remind people that while Oppenheimer is history, nuclear weapons are not,” the group writes in their letter. And political will is created when people demand it.”Cillian Murphy (as J. Robert Oppenheimer) and writer, director, and producer Christopher Nolan on the set of "Oppenheimer." The film tells the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, who along with a team of scientists, developed and designed the atomic bomb.

CNN —Taylor Swift posted a note on Instagram Tuesday to encourage her more than 282 million followers on the platform to vote. “Today, March 5, is the Presidential primary in Tennessee and 16 other states and territories,” Swift, who has a home in Tennessee, wrote. “I wanted to remind you guys to vote the people who most represent YOU into power. If you haven’t already, make a plan to vote today,” Swift continued. She had largely shied away from politics until ahead of the midterm election in 2018, when Swift endorsed Tennessee Democrats Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper, who were running for Senate and House of Representatives, respectively.

CNN —Turns out Taylor Swift was spot on naming her forthcoming album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”The company Ancestory, which helps people trace their genealogy, has found evidence that Swift is distantly related to the famed poet Emily Dickinson. “We need to calm down…but how can we when we have BIG news! “Renowned American poets Taylor Swift and Emily Dickinson are 6th cousins, three times removed.”CNN has reached out to Swift’s representative for comment. Her album “Evermore” was announced in 2020 on December 10, which happens to be Dickinson’s birthday. “If my lyrics sound like a letter written by Emily Dickinson’s great-grandmother while sewing a lace curtain, that’s me writing in the quill genre,” Swift said, noting that her single “Ivy” from “Evermore” would fall under that category.
